NFC Quick Reference Guide

Please note that the average product read range is 2-5mm. Having metal obstructions or a bulky phone case will likely diminish the phone’s ability to read the NFC signals efficiently.

iPhone (XS and Newer)

  • NFC is always on, no settings needed.
  • Tap near the front camera (top of the back).

Samsung Galaxy (S6 and newer)

  • Go to Settings>Connections>NFC and Contactless Payments.
  • Scan mid-to-upper back of the phone.

Google Pixel (All models)

  • Go to Settings>Connected Devices>Connection Preferences>NFC.
  • Scan top center back of phone.

OnePlus (6 and newer)

  • Go to Settings>Connection & Sharing> NFC.
  • Scan upper-middle back of phone.

Motorola (varies by model)

  • Go to Settings>Connected Devices>NFC.
  • Scan center back of device.

Sony Xperia

  • Go to Settings>Device Connection>NFC.
  • Look for the “N” logo on the back to scan.

Huawei (varies by model)

  • Go to Settings>More>NFC.
  • Scan just below the camera on back.

Popular Tablets & Smartwatches

  • iPads: No NFC scanning support.
  • Apple Watch: NFC only for Apple Pay.
  • Android Watches: Limited scanning (model-dependent).
